A PRAYER FOR EACH DAY

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning! I am blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.

You have done so much for me, and You keep on blessing me. Grant me forgiveness each day for everything I have done, said, or thought that was not pleasing to You.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start each day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God’s eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And, when I sin, let me repent and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive Your forgiveness.

And, when the world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus’ example — to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It is the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can’t pray, you listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Thank you for your blessings to me and my family and let each of us strive to be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for those who are hurting. I pray for those who are lost and can’t find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know you intimately. I pray for those who don’t believe…but, I thank You that I believe.

I know that the Lord is in control…He changes people and He changes things. I pray for all those I come into contact with and for every family member in their households…that they may have love and joy in their homes, are healthy or healing, are out of debt and their needs met. I pray for peace and understanding, and for renewed feelings of appreciation and brotherhood among the people in our country.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows that there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than You or impossible for You to handle, Lord.

I place every battle I face into Your hands. Give me the guidance, strength and resolve I need.

I pray that these words be received into the heart of everyone who reads them and is expressed by every mouth that confesses them willingly.

This is my prayer…In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

We turn to prayer because it is the most personal way to experience God, to encounter Him and to grow in knowledge of Him. As it is written in the book of Ephesians, God's desire is for us to pray “on all occasions”.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:18 NLT

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 ESV

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT

Never stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV
