A VERSE A DAY FOR THE MONTH OF MAY

The month of May is just a few days away…

As the days grow longer through the month of May, enjoy the hours of light each day. Spring will change into summer, with even more light available each day. Let the Lord light your path. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. James 1:17 NLT

This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all. 1 John 1:5 NLT

These verses assure us of two things: We can see clearly that every perfect gift comes from God because He is light…and, God never changes.

As Christians, we also are light. Matthew 5:14-16 NLT says, You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

As you continue on building a closer relationship with God, don’t keep your light hidden. Think of ways to be of service and let your light shine brightly!
